I’ve been a full-time wedding photographer for a fair while now (a bit over 5 years as I write this) and I’ve shot hundreds of weddings in that time. I love a wedding, everyone is in a good mood enjoying themselves. I’ll never get bored of photographing all the fun and love that goes on. I also love photography so becoming a wedding photographer was a bit of a no brainer really.

I think it’s really important to chat with your photographer before booking them.

There is a nice little café near me I like to meet people in, if getting to Bristol isn’t convenient (or frankly, you would just rather do the meeting in your tracky bottoms on the sofa) it’s no problem, we can chat on Skype. It’s helpful to go over everything but more importantly, we need to get on, just liking the pictures or the price being right isn't enough. I’ll be with you for your whole wedding, so it would be a little weird if you can’t stand me!

It’s amazing how often I’m told by couples they barely noticed me!

Most of my work is documentary, I’m all about the real moments so I don’t interrupt your guests and I’ll never ask anyone to say cheese. For a lot of the wedding, I like to think of myself as like a ninja, in, shoot, out before you noticed I was there. A ginger, balding, camera ninja. That’s me.

It’s nice to get a few shots of just the two of you but I’m not going to spend ages posing you. I’m more about backing off and letting you be yourselves. I’ll give you a few pointers if you need them, but they will be super simple and easy. I’m all about the feels, not the cheese.

I’m based in Bristol but I do travel.

Anything under a couple of hours away is fine, over that and I may ask for accommodation for the night before because a traffic jam making me late for your wedding is completely unacceptable.

Such brilliant service from start to finish. Originally I wasn't overly keen on even having a professional photographer but we saw Sandy's photographs and decided to go for it.

He was discrete when necessary and called the shots when the time came. He helped us relax into the day and made sure that he caused no stress whatsoever, which meant that he got some really amazing photographs of us and everyone who attended the wedding.

Essentially we couldn't have asked for more and his post wedding day service was both timely and professional. I am a very harsh reviewer and would say if I had anything negative but I don't!

Sandy is a lovely guy who wanted to help make sure we had the day we wanted, with lasting memories to match.

His photos encapsulate our day perfectly. Sandy got on really well with our guests, he listened to exactly what we wanted, had lots of ideas for the bridal shoot and took great reportage shots.

The quality of his photos speak for themselves & we couldn't be happier with them!

Sandy is truly an AMAZING photographer, not only that, he is a great guy who was a pleasure to have as part of our special day.

When we saw our photos we were speechless, he captured every moment which we get to relive every time we open our wedding album.

My wife and I can not recommend Sandy enough! Top man!

So what’s it gonna cost?

I have a few options, my prices start at £995 but most people spend about £1600 for full coverage, an engagement shoot and an album.

Let’s meet for a coffee (or something a bit stronger) and work out what’s best for you.
